A certified translation is a translation accompanied by a signed statement from the translator confirming its completeness and accuracy. USCIS requires certified translations for all foreign-language documents submitted with immigration applications. Courts, universities, professional licensing boards, and many state agencies also require them. If you are submitting a document to a government agency, you almost certainly need certified translation.
For standard personal documents (birth certificates, marriage licenses, passports, diplomas) under 1,000 words, we typically complete same-day orders within 4 to 6 hours of receiving the document. Rush orders must be submitted by 12:00 PM Eastern on business days. For same-day orders placed after noon or on weekends, we confirm the exact delivery time when you submit.
No. All translations are produced by human translators. We do not use machine translation or machine translation post-editing (MTPE) as a standard practice. If a client asks about MTPE for high-volume, low-sensitivity content, we discuss it separately. We will never submit a machine-generated translation as a certified human translation.
Our primary language pairs are Spanish, French, German, Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Portuguese, Russian, Italian, Vietnamese, Polish, Hindi, Turkish, Dutch, Swedish, Hebrew, Thai, Indonesian, and Greek. For less common languages, contact us before submitting -- specialist availability varies.
No. Our certified translations meet the requirements of USCIS, US immigration courts, state civil courts, federal courts, state DMVs (for foreign license conversion), university admissions offices, professional licensing boards, and adoption agencies. If you need a translation for a specific authority, tell us when you submit and we will format it to their requirements.
We accept PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, JPEG, PNG, TIFF, and most scanned document formats. We deliver in the same format unless you request otherwise. Certified translations are delivered as PDF with a signed certification page.
Full refund if you cancel within 24 hours and before translation starts. Partial refund schedule once work begins. If a delivered translation contains substantive errors relative to the agreed scope, we correct them at no charge within 10 business days of notification. Full details on our Refund Policy page.
Yes. We work with law firms, healthcare providers, and businesses on ongoing retainer arrangements. For recurring clients, we maintain a translation memory and custom glossary to ensure consistency across documents and to reduce turnaround time on repeat content types.
